Bidanpo Mediental Face Masks Series

Bidanpo Mediental Face Masks are a Korean brand that is particularly interesting because it is a combination of "cosmaceutical" = cosmetic + medicine. They are a combination of oriental medicine and skin science born in "Hana Green Oriental Medicine Clinic" from skin specialists who majored in Oriental Medicine at Kyung-Hee Univeristy in Korea.

I will give an overview of each the masks here.

Bidanpo Mediental Healing Mask  are a a result of bamboo + medicinal ingredients fermenting and maturing in a cloth mask. This is a convenient and easy to use one-step mask. There are four different types.


1. Balhyo-Mibaek - Whitens and improves skin pigmentation (25ml)
2. Balhyo-Boyangsu -  Moisturizes and regenerates skin (25ml)
3. Balhyo-Tanryeok - Anti-aging, reduces wrinkles, firms skin (25ml)
4. Balhyo-Jinjeong- Helps trouble / acne-prone skin and is good for sensitive skin (25 ml)

 Bidanpo Mediental Clinic Masks are a a result of bamboo + medicinal ingredients fermenting and maturing in a cloth mask. Thus, resulting in a "2-step" fusion. There are 4 different types and each has a Skin Booster Ampoule* as the first step.

1.  Maeseon-Tox - Anti-aging, reduces wrinkles & firms skin (25 ml)
2. Taeban-Yakchim - Moisturizes & regenerates skin (25ml)
3. Baek-Myeong MTS - Whitens & improves skin pigmentation (25ml)

*Skin Booster Ampoule - Mask Base Ampoule (3ml) : This skin booster ampoule, made out of 100% bamboo water, is an "effect booster." Cracked Heels: Product Review 1 of 2

Product Review Part 1: Foot Mask

Do you have dry skin that causes your heels to crack? These heel fissures can hurt and also make you feel uncomfortable. Can cracked heels really be treated and/or prevented? Are there such things as affordable and simple treatments? In this Product Review Part 1, I use two volunteers with foot problems to put our affordable and simple treatment to the test.

One has very dry skin and the other has dry skin and cracked heels. I've given each person 14 Purederm Intensive Foot Repair Masks "Avocado" today. They are asked to use the foot mask each night before they go to bed. They are asked to follow the instructions, meaning they need to wash their feet with warm water, then open the packet and wear the cloth foot masks, wear the clear disposable foot gloves over the masks, and then wear a pair of socks over that. Volunteers are also asked to time themselves for 30 minutes before taking off the socks and foot mask.

In order to test whether this product really works, we have to lay out a rating scale or "grade" .... teachers do this when they teach by using a rubric, "an assessment tool to communicate expectations of quality"(Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubric_(academic)

I've designed this rubric based on the product claims on the back of the packaging label:

Directions:

1. Thoroughly cleanse & dry face.
2. Take out and unfold the mask and apply it with your face.
3. Wear the mask for 15~20 minutes and peel off slowly from the edges.
